Auckland Museum is an influential, much-loved organisation at the centre of Auckland’s identity, committed to outstanding management of its extensive collections and the permanent and volunteer staff who tell the Museum’s stories.

Auckland Museum currently has a fixed-term (6 months) opportunity for a highly motivated Collection Manager Acquisitions to join the Museum at an exciting time of redevelopment and renewal.

The position is part of the wider Collection and Research team and is responsible, as one of a team, for the expert processing and documentation of recently acquired Human History collection items.

This role along with the contribution of the broader Collections and Research team is at the heart of many of the Museum’s aspirations. The collections, and knowledge about them, are often the essential raw material for exhibitions, programmes and events for family, formal education and tourist audiences.
