Auckland Museum is an influential, much-loved organisation at the centre of Auckland’s identity, committed to outstanding management of its extensive collections and the permanent and volunteer staff who tell the Museum’s stories.

The permanent, full-time role of Collection Manager is responsible for the expert processing, documentation and care of collection items and for providing access to collections, through visitors, loans, responding to enquiries and contributing to exhibitions and public programmes.

This position is part of the Collections and Research team. The role and contribution of this team are at the heart of many of the Museum’s aspirations. The collections, and knowledge about them, are often the essential raw material for exhibitions, programmes and events for family, formal education and tourist audiences.
