Auckland Museum is an influential, much-loved organisation at the centre of Auckland’s identity, committed to outstanding management of its extensive collections and the permanent and volunteer staff who tell the Museum’s stories.
As part of a WWI funding application the Museum has been successful in gaining funding to help document and preserve our WW1 collection items. An opportunity exists for two highly motivated Collection Technicians to join the Museum on a fixed term basis (18 months). The funding and these two roles will contribute to the delivery of two new galleries; this will be the first time visitors will see a tangible realisation of our strategic vision within the building.
The role of Collection Information Technician contributes to the delivery of a World War I Gallery Development and Community project. The outcome of the project will be that all identified objects will be photographed and catalogued according to the Museum’s established collection management standards.
