Collections and Climate Change

The extent to which museum collections are useful in understanding impacts of climate change.

“It should not be suprising that collections are a key source of information about climate change impacts, particularly when we want to assess the impacts on biodiversity.”

In this video, Dr Dan Fisher of the Australian Museum Research Institute, describes how his current climate change research activities highlight integrative approaches and the broad utility of Museum work linked to collections.

Dr Faith was speaking at the Australian Museum Research Institute Collections and Climate Change Seminar held at the Museum on 8 November 2013.  Other speakers at this event can be heard here.
