The Museum of Australian Democracy (MoAD) is a museum not just of objects but of ideas where we tell the story of Australia’s journey from federation to becoming one of the world’s most vibrant and multicultural democratic nations. Through exhibitions, events, participatory engagements, research and outreach, MoAD is a place where the broader Australian community is actively encouraged to engage with notions of democracy in modern times. Our ambitious program over the next few year is reflective of this and includes major gallery redevelopment, temporary exhibitions and large participatory events.
