About the role
The Collections Project Assistant, Pacific & International Collection supports the planning and data management of AM collection moves off-site. Utilizing content management systems and spreadsheet programs this role ensures the clear and accurate management of museum cultural collection object moves and keeping the collection database and tracking lists up-to-date. This role is actively involved in the Museum’s highly complex and time-sensitive projects and works to the Manager of the Pacific & International Collection and in cooperation with project teams to support cultural collection object moves.
Essential Requirements
As the successful candidate, you will demonstrate;
- Sound knowledge of, and experience in contemporary museum collection management practices, including the use of collection databases (preferably KE EMu), and creating and maintaining Excel spreadsheets
- Experience of working with museum collections; specifically, cultural collections.
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications or relevant, equivalent professional experience
- Adequate knowledge and experience in order to deliver the Key Accountabilities and perform to the Focus Capabilities outlined in this Role Description.
