About the Australian Museum

The Australian Museum (AM) operates within the NSW Department of Planning and Environment.  The AM is the first museum in Australia and was founded in 1827. The AM provides access, engagement and scientific research to increase our understanding of natural history and culture, particularly of the Australasian region. About the role
The Collections Project Assistant, Pacific & International Collection supports the planning and data management of AM collection moves off-site. Utilizing content management systems and spreadsheet programs this role ensures the clear and accurate management of museum cultural collection object moves and keeping the collection database and tracking lists up-to-date. This role is actively involved in the Museum’s highly complex and time-sensitive projects and works to the Manager of the Pacific & International Collection and in cooperation with project teams to support cultural collection object moves.
