Duties

The Museum has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and dynamic professional to join the Commercial Operations and Tourism business unit as the Commercial and Tourism Senior Coordinator.

You will be responsible for the coordination, implementation and evaluation of marketing strategies that promote the Museum as a cultural tourism destination nationally and internationally. As a member of a small team, you will undertake direct sales activities to support the Museum and its programs and exhibitions, including tourism wholesale products, and tickets and venue bookings to deliver a high-quality visitor experience and reach revenue targets.

Responsible for developing, building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, the role involves a high level of collaboration internally and externally. In the role, you will manage relevant databases, liaise with travel agents, respond to traveller reviews, participate in and plan for trade shows, coordinate the delivery of tourism media and partnership plans, and coordinate key activities for the Culture Loop bus service. It is expected that the successful candidate will liaise extensively with relevant ACT Government agencies, industry interest groups and other cultural institutions to achieve outcomes and seek opportunities for collaboration. Some domestic and international travel may be required.

The successful candidate will coordinate and participate in the delivery of commercial projects within the business unit and the broader Museum.
