Museums Victoria cares for the State scientific and cultural collections, providing visitor access, activities and events at five distinct venues: Melbourne Museum, Immigration Museum, Scienceworks, IMAX Cinema and world heritage listed Royal Exhibition Building.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

This position is accountable for providing high quality design services that will contribute significantly to the delivery of outstanding museum projects, programs and communications setting the highest standards of innovative creativity and design excellence.

Notable skills and experiences:

  • Proven ability to clarify communication problems and provide solutions by exploring possibilities through critical thinking, creativity, experimentation, visualisation and evaluation.
  • You will have highly developed conceptual skills, excellent working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, web design software knowledge and be able to openly contribute in a team-based environment.
  • You will visualise and communicate concepts that can be applied to a variety of media including; digital media, social media, on-line media, environmental media and printed media.
  • Proven experience in working effectively with project teams, including demonstrated knowledge of the role of design and interpretive programs in a museum or similar setting.
