Duties
As part of a small team, you will be responsible for the implementation of strategies that promote the Museum of Australian Democracy (MoAD) at Old Parliament House across the full communications spectrum.
Reporting to the Head Communications and Partnerships, your duties will be:
- Undertake a strategic approach to media relations. This will include developing and maintaining strong relationships with media contacts, developing and pitching story angles and writing media releases
- Edit, write and design a monthly email newsletter to external stakeholders
- Manage and distribute weekly press clippings using the program Isentia
- Manage and coordinate filming requests
- Manage graphic design and printing requests
- Assist in the design and production of corporate communications
- Manage the implementation of MoAD events and activities digital, press, print, outdoor, radio and or T.V
- Day to day administration including budget management and invoice processing and other duties as required
Previous communications and marketing experience, preferably in the Public Service and/or Museums and Galleries sector is highly desirable.

The successful applicant must be:
- An Australian Citizen
- Willing to undergo an Australian Government security clearance and maintain it at the baseline level.
