Conditions

There are currently full-time and/or part-timepermanent vacancies available across two positions sharing 1.6 FTE (Full Time Equivalent).  Applicants deemed suitable will be placed into a pool where appointments may be considered for these and other similar vacancies for full-time, part-time, casual, fixed term or permanency.  The pool will run for a period of 24 months from the initial appointment.

A current (within 6 months) National Police Clearance Certificate will be required prior to commencement of employment, as per the Department’s Police Record Screening Policy.

You must have a Materials Conservation or approved equivalent qualification to be considered for this position. All overseas qualifications must have been assessed for Australian equivalency.

Job Description

The Conservator assists in the care of Museum collections and the management of collection related risks through providing conservation services including preservation, examination, documentation, research, and advice.
