Consultation on draft Copyright Amendment (Service Providers) Regulations 2018, Department of Communications & the Arts, 5 June 2018

We are consulting on minor amendments to the Copyright Regulations 2017 to ensure that proposed changes to the Copyright Amendment (Service Providers) Bill 2017 will operate effectively.

Why we want your input
The Government is currently progressing reforms to extend the copyright safe harbour scheme to online service providers in the education, cultural and disability sectors. We want to ensure the procedures in the Copyright Regulations 2017 can be complied with by the new providers.

How you can voice your opinion
You can voice your opinion by providing a submission to this public consultation process. Submissions are due by 5pm, 29 June 2018 AEDT.

What will be the outcome of this consultation?
Your comments will contribute to ensuring appropriate amendments are made to Part 6 of the Copyright Regulations 2017 to ensure the safe harbour scheme can be complied with by newly defined service providers.
