As one of Sydney’s most visited museums, the Australian National Maritime Museum (ANMM) is committed to being a world leader in maritime history, sharing the national maritime story across Australia and providing a must-visit museum experience. Starting with the opening of the ANMM’s Warships Pavilion, the museum is undergoing a major onsite transformation.

Located in the lively tourist precinct of Sydney’s Darling Harbour, the Australian National Maritime Museum is one of Sydney’s most visited museums.

We’re currently going through a period of transformation and seeking a passionate individual with a ‘spirit of adventure’ to help shape our future. With a new brand about to launch, a reinvigorated approach to storytelling and major infrastructure projects underway it is an exciting time to join the museum.

Reporting to the PR and Content Manager, the Content Producer will be instrumental in delivering the museum’s vision. You will implement the museums content strategy taking responsibility for the content calendar and producing consistent content for owned, earned and bought channels.

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Manage ANMM’s content calendar ensuring it is up to date, relevant, on brand and content is delivered on time
  • Write, edit and publish content across all channels and platforms including website, edms, social, newsletters, brochures, fact sheets, blogs
  • Work collaboratively with all business units and key stakeholders to ensure the museum’s products, services, exhibitions, collections and events are being shared through inspiring and engaging content

Selection for this position will be made on the basis of relative merit which will be assessed against each item of the selection criteria. Applications that do not address the selection criteria will not be considered for short listing by the Selection Committee. As part of the selection process the selection committee may invite candidates to undertake psychometric test, you should advise the selection committee if you have any special needs. Psychometric tests may be used as the initial short-listing test or later in the selection process. Some tests are very short while others may take one or more hours.
