ABOUT THE POSITION
This position is accountable for providing the high level expertise and skills necessary to coordinate all services involving live animals necessary to guarantee continuous displays for optimum visitor experience.

Notable skills and experiences:

  1. Extensive experience and accomplishment in the acquisition, husbandry and display of live animals, especially invertebrates, in a museum or similar institution.
  2. Advanced knowledge, skills and commitment to working with wildlife.
  3. Experience in effective day to day supervision of staff in an operational setting.
  4. Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills necessary to lead and to participate in a team.
  5. Demonstrated capacity to innovate, experiment and adapt in order to solve animal husbandry and display issues.
  6. Demonstrated experience in training staff in specialised processes and procedures relevant to animal field collection, husbandry and display.
  7. Experience in the coordination, development and presentation of high quality public programs in a museum or similar institution.
