Lamplight Tours – Costumed Interpreter Guide

The Sovereign Hill Museums Association is a dynamic group of museums comprising of the Sovereign Hill Outdoor Museum, Gold Museum and Narmbool. Our purpose at Sovereign Hill and the Gold Museum is to inspire an understanding of the significance of the central Victorian gold rushes in Australia’s national story, and at Narmbool of the importance of the land, water and biodiversity in Australia’s future.

Lamplight Tours is a new offering as part of Sovereign Hill’s night show activities. Lamplight Tours leads visitors into the darker side of goldfields life, visiting some intriguing places and characters.

Tours run Saturday evenings and you would be required for approximately 2-3 hours per shift.

We are looking for a Costumed Interpreter Guide to join the team on a casual basis. The Costumed Interpreter Guide is responsible for participating in engaging and educating visitors on issues of the Ballarat Goldfields via activations, historical role play and excellent customer service whilst following set routines in the deliverance of the Lamplight Tours.
