The Australian Museum (AM) operates within the NSW Department of Justice and was founded in 1827 and is the first museum in Australia. The AM provides access, engagement and scientific research to increase our understanding of natural history and culture, particularly of the Australasian region. The AM holds more than 18 million objects of biological, geological and cultural collections and develops programs, exhibitions and school and community education initiatives onsite, online and offsite. The AM’s purpose is to make nature, Indigenous cultures & science accessible and relevant to everyone.

About the role
The Creative Producer, Adult Audiences is responsible for developing and coordinating a range of programs on offer for adult audiences. This includes overseeing the programs that develop new audiences through producing and coordinating expert talks, workshops, music, live performances, after-hours events, and offsite outreach projects that bring the AM’s exhibitions to life.

Essential Requirements
As the successful candidate, you will demonstrate
- Experience planning and delivering a diverse range of programs and events, preferably in a Museum context
- Expertise and experience in program and audience development
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in Event Management, History, Culture, Art, or Science
