ACMI has a full time fixed term (until July 2023) opportunity for a Curator to join our passionate Curatorial team and work collaboratively to deliver an ambitious exhibition program of original and touring exhibitions, artworks and commissions. The role will focus on the development, curation and delivery of a variety of programs and the curatorial support of artists commissioned to create new works. Reporting to the Senior Curator you will liaise with a range of internal teams (Marketing and Communications, Film Programs, Public Programs and Education) and external stakeholders in the delivery of ACMI’s exhibition programme.

Our ideal team member will be experienced in the development of moving image exhibitions and/or major exhibitions. You will have a proven track record in developing and delivering high quality visitor experiences of excellent curatorial rigour that achieve audience outcomes. With a strong knowledge of the history of the moving image you have experience using audience insights and prototyping to refine curatorial thinking, with the end goal of providing engaging experiences for diverse audiences.

If successful you can expect to become part of a talented, committed and creative team of people with a passion for screen culture. This Grade 4 role is offered on a fixed term full time basis (until July 2023), with a starting salary of $88,955 plus super.
