Curator, Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Collections (50D)

We currently have one (1) part-time (0.8 FTE, 60 hours per fortnight), permanent vacancy for immediate filling.

The Museum’s Anthropology and Archaeology Department contributes to the collection, conservation, research and interpretation of the cultural heritage of Indigenous communities in Western Australia.

The position is a senior curatorial role in the team and works closely with the Head of Department and Senior Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) Advisor to perform a key role in the Museum’s engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, including the acquisition, curation, research and interpretation of collections.

This is a public-facing role with regular interaction with a variety of stakeholders and members of the public.
