The Otago Museum is seeking an experienced and dedicated Curator, Māori to join our team and be responsible for our internationally renowned taonga Māori collection.

The Curator, Māori will work closely with Museum staff and Māori Advisory Committee carrying out collection activities according to tikanga Māori and accepted professional standards in documentation, storage and conservation.

Applicants will have well-developed organisational skills, a relevant tertiary qualification and at least three years’ practical experience working with taonga Māori. Key skills for this position will be the ability to communicate clearly, succinctly and appropriately in all settings, to work well with a diverse range of people, and to respond well under pressure.
