Here is a rare opportunity. We are looking for a new generation Curator, Pacific Histories and Cultures. As Te Papa embarks on a monumental renewal process, you will be the newest member of a hard working team that produces public history in a museum setting, working with national collections and other forms of cultural heritage. You will help tell stories and interpret New Zealand’s past for audiences that are both local and global, real and virtual, and who want to know more about where we have come from and where we are going.

The salary range for this position is $66,000 to $83,000 with further room for progression through the band. Offers will be made within the range to reflect the skills and experience offered by the candidate and those required of the role, and internal relativities with other employees.

This role is permanent and full-time (40 hours) and all applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand. Prior to Te Papa confirming any offer of employment, pre-employment checks will be undertaken including criminal conviction history and reference checking as a minimum.
