The Curator, Published Collections is responsible for the development, control, maintenance and care of library and ephemera collections in the Memorial’s Research Centre in accordance with established policies and procedures. The Curator manages a small team and is expected to provide leadership in achieving identified goals, and provide advice as appropriate to the Senior Curator, Published and Digitised Collections.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and oversee the care and preservation, and provision of access to the collection including preparing and implementing guidelines, policies, strategies and recommendations for collection databases.
  • Dissemination and promotion of the collection to the wider community.
  • Responding to client requests to the established service standards.
  • Developing the collection in accordance with the Memorial’s Collection Development Plan.
  • Providing support as necessary for other priorities in the Memorial’s Corporate Plan.
  • Provide leadership, advice and development for the Published Collections team in cataloguing, acquisition, copyright and online collection guides.
  • Co-ordination and liaison regarding serials subscriptions, invoices and the Pandora
