This position exists to undertake and oversee all curatorial responsibilities in the collection, exhibition, interpretation, research, promotion and care of the Visual Art and Design collections of the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery. The key functions of this position are:
- Management of staff in the Visual Art and Design Section.
- Development and management of the Visual Art and Design collections.
- Undertaking research on the collections and associated topics for exhibition development and public programs, including publications.
- Management of the Visual Art and Design Section’s public programs, including an enquiries service and liaison with community and relevant special-interest groups.
- Participating in intra- and inter-departmental curatorial and project teams.
- Coordinating an effective contribution to Section planning, projects and activities.
