The Museum has an exciting opportunity for a professional to join the agency as the Cyber Security Officer.

The Cyber Security Officer will provide IT Security technical and security operations expertise to the National Museum of Australia and other agencies through the Cultural and Corporate Shared Services Centre (CCSSC).

The key duties of the position include:

Working with the IT Security Advisor, the Officer will help to implement appropriate technical security controls and monitor CCSSC’s technical environment, continually assessing for security vulnerabilities in order to identify gaps and recommend remediation such as patching or configuration.

This role is required to liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure proven cyber security principles are implemented. Technical security advice, policy development and cyber awareness training are an integral part of the role.
