About the Role 

The Development and Bequest Executive is a newly created role that sits within the Strategy & Development Team at the AM. This role is offered on a temporary full-time basis for a period of 4 years. 

Use your prior experience to develop, nurture and deliver the bequest program to support  an effective legacy-giving strategy and pipeline at the Australian Museum (AM)

About You  

We are looking for a person who has a keen interest in philanthropy and has experience in supporting strategy and operations. As a team player, you will have a keen eye for detail, adept financial skills, and strong communication skills. You will be motivated by creating systems and plans for use to support effective departmental reporting and planning. Importantly, you will have an interest in and sensitivity to, legacy giving and growing the AM’s capacity and rigour around bequest planning and management. 

Your Knowledge & Experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in arts, science, business, communications, marketing or a related field or equivalent work experience
  • At least three years experience working in fundraising or development (or adjacent field)
