Digital Content Creator Video and Photography
The key duties of the position include:
Reporting to the Head of Digital Engagement and Insight, you will drive the creation of all corporate video and imagery required across the Museum. This will include for use predominantly on digital channels and for the Museums integrated and strategic marketing and communications campaigns and initiatives.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing quality video, digital images and digital content for a variety of digital platforms that meet identified strategic direction and goals of the Museum.
- Develop and deliver image and video content according to Museum requirements, including informative, engaging and educational videos, hype-reels, public relations content, collections highlights and other any other video content for distribution.
- Produce and deliver high-quality digital images for promotional, publication, including Signals, public relations, events, commercial purposes by original photography, including editing, processing of these produced images using Capture One or equivalent and Photoshop.
- Work with Digital Creative and Digital Content Producers to create film and video product for all digital channels, and upload final video and images into the museum’s digital asset management system.
- Plan, organise and develop assets including storyboards, appropriate locations and sourcing of actors and talent where necessary.
- Produce and capture professional quality images and video using a variety of styles and contemporary photography, filmmaking, and storytelling techniques.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders including the Programs and Site Activation team and Head of Communication to ensure all video content is created and delivered on time. Follow project schedules and timeframes and actively manage workloads to deliver the Museums operational and strategic objectives.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated experience in brand storytelling, digital content ideation and production.
- Professional experience in a similar role with a good understanding of the online/digital media campaign space.
- Demonstrated proficiency in processing and editing software such as Capture One, Adobe After Effects, Premier Pro and Photoshop.
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency in Event, Location and Corporate Photography.
- Experience in the use of lighting equipment for both video and photographic stills.
- High-level understanding and proficiency in the use of digital asset management systems.
- Ability to translate complex content into simple and understand what engages an audience.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and liaise effectively and sensitively at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Proactive, collaborative mindset and demonstrated capacity to work independently and within a team environment and to undertake evening and weekend assignments.
- Proven time management skills and ability to balance conflicting priorities and work to tight deadlines.
- Growth mindset and willingness to contribute to continuous improvement.
- Ability to maintain enthusiasm and focus whilst working autonomously
