The Digital Content Developer will write, produce and edit digital content for the Museum’s digital platforms. The person will ensure that content published is accurate, current, interesting and appropriate for its intended audience and that it supports the Museum’s strategic objectives. This includes undertaking research and keeping abreast of new development in digital technologies and content.

The role will work with the broader Digital Content Services Team to understand the role of digital content as part of an entire stakeholder and audience journey, or communications plan, to ensure a seamless and optimised experience. A key aspect of this role is working in partnership with the in-house design, multimedia and curatorial staff to collaborate on creative opportunities and content development for a range of digital platforms. This includes curating, re-purposing and adapting existing content to ensure efficiencies are achieved.

Utilising online analytics and data insights, the role will critically assess activity to inform decisions on new content development priorities and content design for search engine optimisation. The role will also have responsibility for managing feedback loops and approvals for new digital content in consultation with the Digital Content Coordinator.
