This position utilises your specialist knowledge and skills to produce compelling audience-focused digital content which tells Museums Victoria’s stories in refreshing and surprising new ways.

ABOUT THE POSITION:
Working within an overarching content commissioning plan, the Digital Content Producer, will produce video, audio and written content that extends Museums Victoria’s reach online, onsite and offsite. Working in collaboration with other Museums Victoria stakeholders, the role is responsible for identifying and producing audience focussed digital stories that meet MV standards and editorial guidelines, accommodates user behaviours and drives engagement with MV digital platforms.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Demonstrated industry experience in hands-on multiplatform digital content production, with excellent researching, reporting, writing, and a keen eye for newsworthy content.
  • Hands-on technical production experience, demonstrating a high standard of field and studio production techniques, including, camera, lighting, sound recording, directing and editing skills.
  • Excellent communication, relationship building, problem solving and interpersonal skills and experience managing multiple projects, working with teams and delivering to deadlines.
  • High level production management skills including the ability to supervise and work with video crews, audio engineers and other technical experts.
  • Proven ability to work with, coach and encourage the best performance from inexperienced on-screen talent.
  • Knowledge of workflows for digital publication, multimedia formats, and platform standards.
  • Working knowledge of content management systems and data analytics packages.
