We are searching for a highly motivated Digital Project Manager to join the Technology and Digital Experience team. This is a unique opportunity to work closely alongside colleagues to bring the stories of our wonderful taonga to life.

A full-time, 12 months fixed term contract exists for a highly motivated Digital Project Manager to join the Museum at an exciting time of redevelopment and renewal. The role is varied, as is the working environment, and will require enthusiasm, warmth and flexibility. You will manage the project delivery of digital experiences and products within the Museum’s Gallery Renewal programme and wider Technology and Digital Strategy.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Be an experienced digital professional with a proven track record of success in a similar position. Minimum of three years’ experience in digital project management (museum experience preferred).
  • Have experience developing and delivering co-developed and/or collaborative digital projects in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Have a sound understanding of service delivery and technology life cycle management.
  • Have hands-on experience associated with enterprise content management, including Information Architecture (IA) development and analysis; Search Engine Optimization (SEO); Content Management Systems (CMS) content production, publishing and workflow, image and video editing tools; Analytics, such as Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
  • Be proficient with the Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office including MS Project.
  • Demonstrate experience with financial systems, processes and reporting in a project management environment.
  • Have proven experience in contract creation and management of contracts.
  • Be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, holidays and/or weekends
