Duties

Located in the lively tourist precinct of Sydney’s Darling Harbour, the Australian National Maritime Museum is one of Sydney’s most visited museums.

The museum is currently going through a period of transformation and are seeking a passionate individual with a ‘spirit of adventure’ to help shape our on and offline communications. With a new brand recently launched in December, a new approach to ‘experience-first’ storytelling and major infrastructure projects underway it is an exciting time to join the museum.

The Digital Publications Producer acts as a form of in-house “journalist”, conducting research, providing creative input into stories and copy writing. The role is also responsible for providing editorial support for museum publications and production assistance with digital content, photography, video and podcasts.

It’s a varied role working within the Marketing and Communications department but servicing all areas of the museum ensuring we deliver on our purpose of sharing our collections and maritime heritage.
