The role of Digital Engagement and Social Media Coordinator sits in the Marketing Team of the Queensland Museum Network, which has responsibility for managing the museum’s brand and reputation and promoting exhibitions, events, programming and marketing initiatives through social media and digital communication activity across its network of campuses.
The role manages and executes the Queensland Museum Network social media channels through monitoring, community management, scheduling, reporting and content curation and development using tools such as Sprout social and Meltwater. The role also manages and executes the QM website content updates using CMS such as Sitecore and WordPress, as well as Google Analytics, and digital activity inclusive CRM management using Microsoft Dynamics, eDMs and reporting and other tools such as Eventbrite and survey monkey.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the execution of Queensland Museum Networks’ social media, web and digital activity including co-planning, sourcing, copywriting, uploading and moderating of content in close consultation with the media and marketing teams.
- Coordinate and implement the network and World Science Festival Brisbane’s (WSFB) social media campaigns across multiple platforms. You will be comfortable using tools such as Google Analytics, Sprout Social, Meltwater, Facebook Insights, and Ads Manager, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, click dimensions, various CMS including WordPress, Sharepoint, and Sitecore.
- Creation and timely delivery of QM & WSFB eDMs and eInvites using Microsoft Click Dynamics
- Drive the day-to-day delivery of online and social media outcomes
- Compose and deliver timely and regular reporting on social media activity and use data insights to improve social and digital channels.
- Maintain the accuracy and currency of the museum and WSFB website content.
- Write content, identify influencers and help grow the museum’s digital and social assets
- Identify any emerging or potential online issues, provide timely communication advice to the Digital Engagement Manager and/or Head of Marketing and respond to any issues, ensuring high quality, consistent and timely messaging.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with staff and external clients.
- Liaise with designers, and internal and external suppliers to develop creative and effective marketing and promotional materials.
- Record, track and analyse social and digital engagement, monitors and reports on social media coverage.
- Participate in the after-hours on-call roster for social media, events, incident and emergency communication.
- Contribute to the safety culture of QMN by reporting all incidents and hazards and ensuring work is undertaken in the safest way possible, following all QMN WHS policies and/or procedures and guidelines relevant to the job.
- Comply with QMN’s policies and procedures (including approval processes) and Government legislation.
