Duties
The Digital Producer (Social Media) is responsible for the museum’s social media presence across a variety of existing and emerging platforms, primarily Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. The role encompasses both day-to-day management and strategic development of the museum’s social media presence with a focus on audience engagement and analytics evaluation.
Under the supervision of the APS6 Digital Producer, the Digital Producer (Social Media) will:
- Implement and refine the museum’s social media strategy
- Develop, implement and evaluate social media campaigns for events and exhibitions
- Source, create, edit and distribute timely and highly shareable social media content in a variety of formats across existing and emerging social media platforms
- Manage the museum’s social media platforms in accordance with applicable policies, workflows and house rules, including monitoring, moderation, and coordination of responses
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to populate and manage the editorial calendar and associated outputs for digital platforms
- Grow the museum’s social media community by identifying and implementing social media engagement opportunities
Eligibility
The successful applicant must be:
- An Australian citizen
- Willing to undergo an Australian Government security clearance and maintain it at the baseline level
