The Director – Experience, Learning and Programming supports the delivery of the Queensland Museum Network (QMN) Strategic Plan by driving dynamic and tailored visitor and stakeholder engagement, experiences and programs. Based at Queensland Museum in South Bank, Brisbane and working across all QMN sites, the Director – Experience, Learning and Programming leads the Learning and Outreach, Visitor Experience and Programming teams.
To secure this opportunity you will have substantial knowledge of, and experience in, the strategic delivery of experiences for audiences, visitors and stakeholders in a museum or similar institution. You will be a skilled communicator and connector of ideas, outcomes and people. You will be motivated and passionate about engaging people in relevant, meaningful and enjoyable ways.
The ideal candidate will be an accomplished, effective and empathetic leader and a strategic thinker with a proven record of good governance. The Director – Experience, Learning and Programming will be adept at seeing the big-picture, galvanising multi-disciplinary teams and achieving results whilst maintaining balance and perspective. You will have a flexible approach with proven experience in providing timely, well informed, and professional advice.
