Museum Victoria is seeking an Education Placements Officer to support the coordination and administration of tertiary education internships and placements across Museum Victoria.

ABOUT THE POSITION:
The position is accountable for liaising with relevant internal/external stakeholders to identify tertiary education placement opportunities, and to administer, report and record the placements of tertiary and international students.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrable knowledge and/or experience in education placements and opportunities; including relevant management practices, policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of current tertiary courses and how they may be applicable to Museum Victoria operations and projects.
- Knowledge of OH&S and legal issues surrounding education placements.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people including tertiary students and staff from educational institutions.
- Good organisational and administrative skills and ability to manage own time effectively with minimal supervision.
- Good problem solving skills including the demonstrated ability to negotiate with internal stakeholders.
- The successful incumbent is required to obtain, and meet the cost of, Working with Children Check, and be assessed as suitable.
OTHER INFORMATION
This position is part-time (0.4); ongoing. The salary on offer is $53,634 paid pro-rate (base of grade) + 9.5% superannuation.
