We are Australia’s contemporary museum for excellence and innovation in applied arts and sciences and are uniquely placed to demonstrate how technology, engineering, science and design impact Australia and the world.

This role sits within the Facilities & Asset Management team is a key contributor to all accommodation strategies, planning of functional spaces across the Museum and manages the Total Asset Management Plan.

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure that all electrical plant and equipment at Museum sites is installed and maintained in accordance with Statutory Regulations. You will be responsible for electrical plant and equipment at all Museum venues. Additional tasks in line with those of a qualified tradesman/handyman may also be required at times.

We are looking for an experienced electrician (3 years minimum) who has the ability to work within a multi trade team environment and is a self-starter with the ability to plan and execute your own work. Experience working within a public purpose built building with controlled environment is desirable but not mandatory.

Other – The successful applicant is required to undergo, and for new employees meet the cost of a National Police Records Check, and be assessed as suitable.
