THE OPPORTUNITY:
Museums Victoria, Australia’s largest public museum organisation, is seeking a strategic, motivated and highly organised Engagement Manager, Development to help drive and evolve the museum’s Development program. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about fundraising to join the Development and Commercial team to establish a year-round supporter and stakeholder engagement strategy that builds philanthropic, government and corporate support for Museums Victoria’s priority initiatives.
The successful candidate will enjoy strategic alliance-building and navigating complex sets of interests while working in a collaborative and consultative manner with internal and external stakeholders. The candidate will possess excellent research skills, demonstrate outstanding interpersonal skills and understand the nuanced communication required to establish effective donor relationships.
Working with Museums Victoria Development team, core functions of this position include:
- Prepare and present supporter stewardship and cultivation plans and contribute to complex fundraising strategies to drive future philanthropic and corporate support.
- Author communications to current and prospective donors, partners and corporate members to realise donor cultivation and stewardship objectives.
Relevant skills and attributes:
- Extensive experience in the development, delivery and management of stakeholder engagement initiatives including research, marketing, proposal development, program delivery, communications, relationship cultivation, budgeting, reporting and briefing, supported by relevant tertiary qualifications.
- Relationship building and collaboration: establishing and maintaining relationships with people at all levels, working well in a team, forging partnerships with people across business areas, functions and organisations.
