Event Coordinator (Casual x 3 positions)
Australia’s largest public museum organisation is seeking three Event Coordinators to join its dynamic events team. Our venues host a number of events including White Night, Melbourne Fashion Festival, Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show, Motorclassica, other trade shows, wedding ceremonies and much more.

About the position:
The primary responsibility of an Event Coordinator is to act as a venue representative and operations coordinator, assisting external event clients in working safely within our unique venues. You will be working alongside a team of Event Coordinators and Event Operations Supervisors. The role involves manual handling, preparing and resetting the venue in between events and working as an operational contact on event days. Administration tasks include event reporting. This is a client and public facing role with a focus on customer service. The role works on a 24 hour, 7 days a week roster.

Experience in the exhibitions and events industry

Ability to provide high-levels of customer service

Ability to respond quickly and address issues in a calm and considered manner

Demonstrated experience in the exhibitions and events industry, including a good working knowledge of current building codes, fire safety, risk management, and regulatory requirements, including Occupational Health and Safety, Food Handling & Preparation and Liquor Licensing;

Experience in interpreting and implementing event related plans for large scale events
