One of the largest public museum organisation in Australia is seeking Event Coordinators to join its dynamic events team. Our venues host a number of events including White Night, Melbourne Fashion Festival, Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show, Motorclassica, other trade shows, wedding ceremonies and much more. The primary responsibility of an Event Coordinator is to act as a venue representative and operations coordinator, assisting external event clients in working safely within our unique venues. You will be working alongside a team of Event Coordinators and Event Operations Supervisors. The role involves manual handling, preparing and resetting the venue in between events and working as an operational contact on event days. Administration tasks include event reporting. This is a client and public facing role with a focus on customer service.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

The primary responsibility of an Event Coordinator is to act as a venue representative and operations coordinator, assisting external event clients in working safely within our unique venues. You will be working alongside a team of Event Coordinators and Event Operations Supervisors. The role involves manual handling, preparing and resetting the venue in between events and working as an operational contact on event days. Administration tasks include event reporting. This is a client and public facing role with a focus on customer service. The role works on a 24 hour, 7 days a week roster.

This is a casual position and we are looking for good daytime availability on weekdays.

The salary on offer is $31.02 per hour. Additional penalty rates apply for weekends, public holidays and hours outside of 7am – 7pm, plus 9.5% superannuation.

Approximate start date is the 8th of January 2018
