ACMI is the national museum of film, television, videogames, digital culture and art. Exploring the rapid evolution and astonishing creativity of the moving image, ACMI is the most successful museum of its kind in the world attracting 1.5 million visitors each year to its Federation Square site, and 450,000 to its national and international touring programs.

The museum is currently closed, as we deliver a visionary $40m redevelopment that will transform the institution, overhauling our permanent exhibition. ACMI’s Federation Square site is planned for re-launch in mid-2020.

We seek an exceptional and inspirational leader for this newly created role, to work closely with our Director & CEO, Katrina Sedgwick delivering ACMI’s creative vision to our audiences. Leading creative programming and shaping the Programming & Creative Production strategy with the Executive Team, this role leads ACMI’s programming teams: Exhibitions & Touring, Curatorial, Public, Education, Industry and Film.

You will demonstrate an ability to lead teams through organisational change, have broad experience and diverse networks across the creative sector and you will have the ability to balance artistic, operational, financial and community outcomes. You are an exceptional communicator and relationship manager with a track record in leading multi-disciplinary teams to deliver cohesive and high quality cross functional programming outcomes.

Your inclusive leadership skills, strategic acumen and commitment to the highest standards of delivery will ensure the success of the next phase of ACMI’s creative and physical redevelopment.

This EO3 role is offered on a 3-year fixed term contract. VPS Executive Officers are employed under the provisions of Part 3, Division 5 of the Public Administration Act 2004
