Museums Victoria seeks an experienced and talented Exhibition Designer to conceptualise, design, document and inform the production of exhibitions, and three-dimensional components for exhibitions, displays, showcases and other projects for Museum Victoria.

About the position
The position is accountable for development, presentation and delivery of exhibition designs, supporting project teams to deliver captivating visitor experiences on schedule, on budget and efficiently, to the highest standards of innovative creativity and design excellence.

Notable skills and experiences:

  • Experience and demonstrated ability in exhibition design, with highly developed conceptual and creative skills, and the ability to provide engaging exhibitions and visitor experiences.
  • Knowledge of the role of design and interpretive programs in a museum or similar setting
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Experience and knowledge of CAD design and related computer technologies. Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar and proven experience in documentation for construction.
  • Advanced time management and organisational skills, with the ability to meet competing deadlines and prioritise work.
