About this role

Australia’s largest public museum organisation is seeking an Exhibition Horticulturalist to provide specialist exhibition garden maintenance and management services to the living galleries and contribute content to exhibitions and public programs featuring live plants.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

The primary responsibility of the position is the establishment, maintenance and treatment of live plants and landscapes in Forest Gallery, Childrens Garden, Gondwana Garden and the Milarri Garden to ensure quality of presentation for visitors. The position is also accountable for contributing knowledge of botanical, horticultural and indigenous cultural themes to the development of public programs and exhibitions, as well as bug food plant production for in-house invertebrate populations.

Notable skills and experiences:

(Occupants of this position would generally hold a Certificate level (or higher) qualification in horticulture, parks and gardens, or relevant area of botanical science).
