The City of Launceston, an award-winning Employer of Choice, is currently seeking to fill the following position:

We are looking for someone who demonstrates, through behaviour, an alignment and an understanding of our values and has the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Ability and experience working on exhibition installations, gallery lighting and safe handling of objects/artworks
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to design exhibition spaces for a variety of audiences
  • Ability to work at heights and experience with manual handling
  • Experience in interpreting plans/designs and competent skills working with wood, metal and acrylic plastics (including the use of various machinery and power tools)
  • Sound computer skills
  • The attainment of Year 10 secondary school education and/or appropriate trade qualification from a recognised training institution combined with several years’ experience undertaking the accountabilities/major duties of the role
  • Current drivers licence which must be retained
  • Working with Vulnerable People registration (Tasmanian).
