About the Australian Museum
The Australian Museum (AM) operates within the NSW Department of Premier & Cabinet and was founded in 1827 as the first museum in Australia. The AM provides access, engagement and scientific research to increase our understanding of natural history and culture, particularly of the Australasian region. The AM holds more than 21 million objects of biological, geological and cultural collections and develops programs, exhibitions and school and community education initiatives onsite, online and offsite. The AM’s purpose is to make nature, Indigenous cultures & science accessible and relevant to everyone.

About the Role
The Exhibition Production Officer (EPO) plays a critical role in researching, procuring, programming and installing new technologies (AV, Projectors, media systems and lighting solutions) for the galleries and special exhibitions.
The role also supports essential gallery and exhibit cleaning in compliance with legal, building and safety codes, following best practice standards and in consideration of the visitor experience. The role is part of a small but vital team operating with a flexible roster pattern that will include weekends.
You will experience working for a leader in the cultural heritage space with opportunities to work on exciting projects including special exhibitions and major gallery works alongside a team of creative and supportive professionals
Essential Requirements

Knowledge & Experience
- Current knowledge and working experience to deliver the Key Accountabilities and perform to the Focus Capabilities outlined in this Role Description
- Demonstrated experience of programing, installing and maintaining different technologies such as multi-media systems and projectors.
