- Maximum salary package of $99,515 (pro-rata). Package includes salary ($81,369 – $89,781), employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
Production is one of three teams reporting to the Director, Curatorial, Collections and Exhibitions and encompasses Exhibitions, Editorial and Production Services.
The Production team is responsible for managing the overall exhibition program including forward programming, exhibition development, production and installation, design, editorial and production inclusive of internally developed exhibitions and displays, touring exhibitions, major installations, visible collection storage, permanent galleries, and event and experiential projects.
You are responsible for conceptualising, designing, preparing artwork and production of all aspects of the Museum’s graphic design and visual communications in relation to exhibitions, displays, major installations, visible collection storage, permanent galleries, event and experiential design projects and associated print and online content, this includes identifying, developing and maintaining MAAS’ established standards of design excellence.
You will work with the Exhibition Manager in the preparation of detailed tender and contract documents and manage quality control processes and work collaboratively to ensure budgets, schedules, contract and office administration meet all necessary requirements and approvals. Core competencies required to succeed in this role include the ability to manage self, communicate effectively, work collaboratively, deliver results and advanced technology skills.

Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications (degree or diploma) in Graphic Design along with print and digital design and production experience Experience
- Excellent design ability with thorough knowledge of exhibition design, print design, digital marketing, and digital publishing.
- Demonstrated ability to articulate, create and direct a high quality design approach within the museum and the public context.
- Experience with working flexibly in a team to deliver design outcomes and a demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with colleagues and contractors at all levels.
- High level written, oral communication and organisational skills; project management skills; and IT literate including Adobe Creative Suite including After Effects. Additional knowledge of digital publishing software, HTML, and CSS. Fluent with Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel.
