A unique institution at the heart of Melbourne’s iconic meeting place, Federation Square, the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) is Australia’s national museum of film, TV, videogames, digital culture and art. Welcoming over 1.45m visitors in 2015/16, ACMI is the most visited museum of the moving image in the world and the third most visited museum in Australia.
This newly created role within our Exhibitions & Collections Team is responsible for the end to end delivery of ACMI’s in-house and supporting the touring exhibitions program, as well as the ongoing management of the galleries This contract role is an opportunity to build your museum and gallery career in an organisation focused on audience advocacy, digital culture and community engagement.
You will join ACMI, bringing with you a proven track record of project managing major cultural exhibitions, focused on high quality visitor experiences with a strong focus on budget management and a safety. You will be a collaborative and inspiring leader that can drive multi-disciplinary project teams, your experience of working with a range of artists and creative technologists as well as a strong procedural approach will see you hit the ground running in this fast paced role.
