Powerhouse Museum

The Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences sits at the intersection of art, design, science and technology and plays a critical role in engaging communities with contemporary ideas and issues.

The Sydney Observatory Experience Coordinator is a key role in the Powerhouse renewal delivering a community, industry and cultural program including public programs, tours, and commercial events. With the Sydney Observatory Supervisor, the role collaborates across the Museum to deliver the program, residencies, venue management and operational processes and procedures with a focus on continuous improvement. Key to this delivery is the rostering and leadership of the hosting team to enable a high quality, accessible and inclusive visitor experience. The coordinator acts as the supervisor’s delegate when required alongside a key leadership role in site safety and emergency management.

The Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences welcomes applications from Indigenous Australians, people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds and people with a disability. If you have individual requirements that need to be accommodated in order to participate in the selection process and join the Museum, please indicate this in your application.
