Facilities Coordinator & Loading Area Manager
Australia’s largest public museum organisation is seeking a suitably experienced individual to assist Museums Victoria facilities management department in managing Melbourne Museums loading dock. Delivery of minor facilities management works across the Carlton Gardens precinct will also be requirement of the position.

ABOUT THE POSITION:
The primary responsibility of the facilities coordinator and loading area manager is to ensure the smooth and safe operation of the Melbourne Museum loading dock which enables the delivery of goods, minimises risk and associated costs, and for implementing recycling and waste management practices that contribute to Museum Victoria’s environmental sustainability.
Notable skills and experiences:
- Ability to manage and supervise a receipt and loading dock area.
- Experience in the operational and contractual management of recycling and waste activities, integrated pest management, and other local service agreements.
- Experience in delivering facility management minor works and contractor management
The successful applicant will have a working knowledge of software packages including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer, and experience in asset management software. It is desirable for the candidate to have experience and appropriate certification for mobile lifting equipment, forklift truck, dogging and red card would be advantageous or willingness to undergo training in these areas.
