Timoci Vula, Fiji Museum appoints CEO, The Fiji Times, 17 April 2025
WELLINGTON City Council former Manager City Arts Armando Lowe is the new chief executive officer of the Fiji Museum.

Mr Lowe has more than 25 years of experience across the museum and arts sector, with expertise in strategic leadership, business development and operational planning.
According to the Fiji Museum, he has a strong track record in building successful partnerships with various stakeholders, both in relation to Te Papa where he serves as a board trustee and Te
Manawa Museum in Palmerston North, New Zealand, where he was the CEO for almost a decade.
“The Board is thrilled to recruit such a highly respected museum professional to take on the newly created position of CEO of the Fiji Museum, which holds a special in the hearts of many and is reputed across the Pacific and the world for the celebration and care of Fiji’s rich cultural heritage,” Fiji Museum Board of Trustees chair Kate Vusoniwailala said in a statement.
Mr Lowe said: “I am deeply honoured and very excited to take on the role of CEO of the Fiji Museum, which holds a special place in the hearts of many and is reputed across the Pacific and the world for the celebration and care of Fiji’s rich cultural heritage.”
The Fiji Museum welcomed Mr Lowe to his new role on March 18, 2025.
The position of CEO is a newly created position that followed an organisational review and restructure of the Fiji Museum, undertaken in 2024 by Grant Thornton (PwC).
