About the Role
The Financial Operations Analyst is a crucial ongoing role that sits within the financial accounting and financial operations services team. In this role, you will be required to use your prior accounting experience to assist a small team to embed best practice procedures and deliver financial accounting and financial operations services at the Australian Museum.

About you
We are seeking a professional with a growth mindset to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Your Knowledge & Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce or Accounting and/or equivalent experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge and understanding of NSW Government accounting practices and procedures, Government Sector Finance Act and the NSW Treasurer’s Directions is desirable.
- Experience in the use of SAP for bank, assets under construction, fixed assets, accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Experience in NSW Government accounting practices for revenue recognition, fixed assets, assets under construction, accounts payable and accounts receivable would be advantageous.
- Ability to utilise Microsoft Excel to present executive reporting for large datasets
- Supervision and stakeholder management experience.
