The Opportunity:

Based in one of Australia’s most prominent national heritage buildings, Old Parliament House, This position is responsible for the research, development, and management of First Nations content across the Museum.

About the Position:

This position is non-ongoing for 2 years, with the possibility of extension and/or ongoing.

This position is full-time, working 37.5 hours per week.

This position emphasises the on development of exhibitions for the First Nations Gallery created in 2022. It will also assist in the development and maintenance of the First Nations Advisory Group.

About You:

The successful applicant must identify as an individual of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent and are accepted within their community as being Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. They will have relevant tertiary qualifications with a demonstrated interest in, and knowledge of, First Nations stories, history, and objects. Knowledge and application of museum practices and procedures with demonstrated curatorial experience is also desired.
