The Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory (MAGNT) is northern Australia’s premier cultural and scientific institution. Recruitment opportunities are now open to support delivery of MAGNT’s new strategic plan and to develop a new $50 million art gallery in Darwin’s CBD following recent NT Government funding.

Primary objective

Physically prepare megafauna fossils held at MAGNT’s Megafauna Central facility in Alice Springs.

Key responsibilities

  1. Remove megafauna fossils from their plaster jackets and prepare the specimens to appropriate museum standards.
  2. Occasionally perform other duties to assist Earth Sciences staff as required.
