Australian Museum and MAAS free weekend

A record number of Museum lovers visited the Australian Museum and the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences for the ‘Free For All’ weekend over 27 & 28 June 2015.

Over 28,000 visitors from near and far came through the door at the Australian Museum; the highest ever turn out in the Australian Museum’s 188-year history.

The Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences was visited by over 27,000.

The weekend was held to celebrate the NSW Government’s commitment to ongoing free general admission for all kids at Powerhouse Museum and Australian Museum.  As of 27 June 2015, general admission to the two Sydney museums will be free for kids under 16.
